Triumph India has definitely managed to cause a huge stir among automobile enthusiasts in India. The newly launched Speed 400, along with the showcased Scrambler 400X, has crossed 10,000 bookings in just 3 days since launch. The Speed 400 is already on sale, while the Scrambler 400X will be available to buy in October 2023. Triumph will reveal the price of the Scrambler at a later date.

The Triumph Speed 400 is powered by a 398cc engine that can churn out a maximum power of 39.5 bhp at 8,000 RPM and a peak torque of 37.5 Nm 6,500 RPM. The power is channeled to the wheel via a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle has a free-revving engine which offers a great throttle feel. With a weight of just 170 kgs, the throttle response, acceleration, and top speed remind us of the KTM 390 Duke.

The Triumph Speed 400 was launched at INR 2.23 lakhs for the first 10,000 customers. However, the booking figure we have now is combined for both Speed and Scrambler. So, you can still get your hands on the motorcycle at the introductory price. The price will, however, increase to INR 2.33 lakhs post the first 10,000 customers.

The Triumph Speed 400 will rival the also-new Harley-Davidson X440, which is a result of another collaboration between Harley and Hero.
